Did you know our nails are primarily made of keratin protein just like our hair?

Keratin is particularly sensitive due to its porous nature. This allows all those conditions mentioned above to easily damage our nails and cuticles. It’s no wonder many find their nails to be brittle, thin, and fragile.

While there are many spa manicure types to choose from most aren’t nail-friendly. And some manicure steps such a rough removal or cutting cuticles will not only damage your cuticles but the health of your nails.

Why? Because the function of the cuticle is to protect our nails from bacteria and ensure healthy growth. All the more reason to take matters into your own hands with an essential oil DIY manicure using the best oils for nails and cuticles.
