Hygge Essential Oil Blends With Hygge Ideas For Coziness

Get cozy with these hygge essential oil blends and hygge ideas for body sprays, diffuser recipes, hygge candles, and more!

Are you as intrigued by the hygge lifestyle as I am? As I keep reminding myself, Hygge (pronounced hue-ga, not high-gee) has become an international buzzword – even if we can’t get the pronunciation right.

Ironically, there isn’t a direct English translation for the word, either. So, the hygge meaning is often interrupted by the Danish lifestyle. What is a hygge lifestyle? It’s about cultivating a cozy, comfortable quality that inspires feelings of happiness, contentment, and friendliness in your everyday life.

A good example of hygge is developing a sense of mindfulness and feeling a connection to the world on an ordinary day. It’s completely opposite to America’s self-centered, hustle mindset; that’s all about “me, myself, and I” and conquering the next big thing.

How can you practice hygge? Take joy in the comfort and happiness of small things.

Because it’s not about tackling challenges or rushing through the day. It’s about enjoying the moment, appreciating familiarity, and cultivating contentment.

And what better way to do that than with hygge essential oil blends? They are built with essential oils for aromatherapy and scents that make us feel comforted and joyful.

What Essential Oils Are Best For Hygge?

It’s easy to add a little hygge to your everyday life when you combine essential oils that promote feelings of happiness, comfort, and contentment. And it’s easiest to blend essential oils with a blending wheel.

What’s a blending wheel? Like a color wheel, an essential oil blending wheel helps us understand the relationships between different aromas and how our brain processes them.

It answers the question of what essential oils smell good together. Choose oils beside each other on the blending wheel to create appealing essential oil blends. Print a blending wheel chart from the Oily Chic Library.
