Find these cinnamon essential oil blends charts to spice up your week with a dozen cinnamon diffuser recipes! They’re perfect for autumn and winter holidays and traditions.

Cinnamon, like lemon, is one of those few scents that everyone on the planet can recognize. If it’s a warm, spicy, comforting aroma you smell – it’s likely cinnamon!

Why does cinnamon smell so nice? And what makes it so popular? It’s a spice that has been traded around the world since Ancient times. And one that is used in nearly every type of cuisine. In the United States, cinnamon is a favorite ingredient in baking recipes. Banana bread, cinnamon butter, cookies, cinnamon rolls, donuts, pumpkin pie, and considerably more. It’s that combination of sugar and spice that makes it so irresistible!

When many of us smell cinnamon, we remember childhood memories of baking with our mothers and grandmothers or seasonal and holiday traditions, which explains why we feel warm and comforted when we smell cinnamon.

So when the weather begins to turn cold, we can fall back on cinnamon essential oil blends for the diffuser to carry us from summer into autumn and through winter.

I’ve whipped up a dozen of the best-smelling cinnamon essential oil diffuser blends into two essential oil blend printables. From delicious aromas like cinnamon strudel to seasonal traditions like pumpkin picking, there’s an abundance of new diffuser recipes to enjoy!

What blends well with cinnamon essential oil?

Cinnamon is one of my most favorite smells; it’s warm, spicy, full, a little bit woodsy, and heartening. If you are wondering what cinnamon essential oil blends well with or what can you diffuse cinnamon with, it’s best to start with an essential oil blending wheel

What’s a blending wheel? Similar to a color wheel, an essential oil blending wheel helps us understand the relationships between different aromas and how our brain processes them. It answers the question of what essential oils smell good together.

To create appealing essential oil blends, you want to choose oils that sit next to each other on the blending wheel. Because cinnamon is privileged to be a part of two categories, it can easily blend among several categories. You can read a complete list of essential oils in each aroma category and print a blending chart while you’re at it in the Oily Chic Library.

Exotic oils such as sandalwood and vanilla are a given, and cinnamon also plays with resin essential oils such as Frankincense. But then there are times when it just jumps across the wheel and smells good with floral lavender and citrus orange.

Honestly, I don’t know of any other oils like it that truly have no bounds. I think it must have something to do with how it’s used in cuisine that makes cinnamon smell pleasing to our nose no matter what it’s combined with.

Where’s The Best Place To Put A Diffuser?

This is a really good question. From moving across the country not once but seven times in my life, I can tell you it can be difficult to find a good space for a diffuser.

What I’ve learned is that it’s not really about decor. It’s about choosing the best place to reap the aromatherapy benefits of a diffuser. Yes, I am guilty of choosing an essential oil diffuser for its looks and choosing a spot to use it because it looked good there.

But, you’ll be less likely to use your diffuser if it’s not where you or your family are often. And the same can be said for your essential oils. If you keep them in a box in your closet – how often are you really going to use them?

So, take some time to think about where you and your family frequently spend time in your home and how you can creatively store your essential oils for ease of use. I share several storage tips for oils here and have a few ideas in the Oily Chic Lookbook

Here is a list of some of the best places to put a diffuser:

  • Bedroom Night Stand
  • Bathroom Vanity
  • Coffee Bar
  • Office Credenza
  • By The Kitchen Sink
  • Portable Diffuser In The Car
  • Living Room Sofa Table

Once you’ve found the perfect spot or spots in our family’s case for an essential oil diffuser, store essential oils you will use most often there. And why not tuck these cinnamon essential oil blends charts nearby?
