What are the benefits of sugar scrubs?

Many people think they shouldn’t use sugar scrubs if they have dry skin. Well, they’re wrong, and I’ll show you why you’ll want to include a sugar scrub in your skincare routine. Because this pumpkin spice sugar scrub recipe not only smells amazing, you won’t believe how much better your skin feels after just one use!

Sugar scrubs benefit the skin first by exfoliation. If you’re unclear what exfoliation means, it describes polishing away the outer layer of dead skin cells to reveal smoother, softer skin underneath.

The process of exfoliation also boosts circulation and cell turnover to bring new healthier skin cells to the surface. This DIY scrub uses sugar granules, a natural source of AHA – Alpha hydroxy acid, to help break down layers of dead skin and encourage cell turnover.

Secondly, the benefits of a sugar scrub extend to moisturizing. You will deliver essential fatty acids and vitamins A, C, and E to the skin by incorporating natural ingredients such as vitamin E oil and unrefined coconut oil. This good-for-you dose can help deeply hydrate the skin, often improving dry skin issues.

Now you know why sugar scrubs can benefit dry skin and all types of skin, for that matter. It’s truly the perfect formula for a beautiful natural glow in any season.
