What’s Not to Love about Cozy Seasons Essential Oil Blends?
I love waking up to crisp, frosty mornings, getting lost looking up into clear blue skies, and collecting random colorful leaves to display in my natural potpourri bowl in our foyer. But you know what I love more than the sights of the cozy season? The scents!!
Nothing says COZY like the comforting scents of clove, juniper, cinnamon, cedarwood, orange, and cardamom.
Each scent reminds me of our favorite cozy season activities and traditions. From picking pumpkins at our local pumpkin patch, rolling down our hill into a big pile of fall leaves, roasting marshmallows over a campfire, to baking pumpkin pie and Snickerdoodle cookies – there’s a familiar scent. Don’t you agree?

The Easiest Way to Enjoy Cozy Season Scents
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of essential oils. I love sharing how my family uses essential oils in our everyday lives and oily DIYs like our popular sleep spray! There’s no doubt essential oils are easy to incorporate into your daily routines.
But, the easiest way to use essential oil by far is diffusing! And if it’s enjoying the aromas of the cozy season you’re after, essential oil diffuser blends make it so simple.
You can mix and match oils to recreate your favorite scents, too. The essential oil blends I share below make our home smell amazing! Each is quick to add to your diffuser, and you’ll surely get the right result every time.

How Many Drops Of Essential Oils Should You Use In Your Diffuser?
Surprisingly, you only need a few drops to create essential oil diffuser blends. Most electronic diffusers hold 100 ml of water, and 3 to 8 drops of essential oil are recommended. That amount may vary depending on your diffuser and the size of the room you are diffusing in. Larger spaces might benefit from 2 to 4 more drops.
Just remember, essential oils are highly concentrated; a small amount is all you need for just about anything. Always error on less rather than more. If you’re new to diffusing essential oils, don’t miss our complete diffusion guide to get the most out of your oils.

Diffusing Essential Oils for the Cozy Season
As autumn brings forth rain-dropped fallen leaves and apples, leading into frosty winter mornings and cozy nights by the fireside, it’s time to put your diffuser on overdrive! Pick a new blend each day to fill your home with woodland outdoor aromas or spicy warm scents because everyone deserves to come home to all things cozy.
If you’re new to diffusing essential oils, you’ll be happy to know it’s effortless. All you need is one of these diffuser methods to soak up the best cozy scents!
Ultrasonic Diffuser
These popular devices use water and ultrasonic vibrations to disperse essential oils into the air as a fine mist. Take a look at my favorite essential oil diffusers:
Reed Diffuser
Create a reed diffuser by combining essential oils with a carrier oil, such as sweet almond oil, and placing reed sticks into the mixture. The reeds absorb the oil and gradually release the scent into the room. Try this DIY fall reed diffuser tutorial to add a touch of elegance to your space.
Terracotta Diffuser Stones
Craft your own diffuser stones using terracotta clay. These porous stones absorb essential oils and release their fragrance slowly over time. Check out this tutorial for handmade terracotta diffuser stones to infuse your environment with natural scents.
Essential Oil Tea Light Diffuser
These diffusers often come in decorative designs and use a heat source, such as a tea light candle (I make my own), to gently warm the essential oils and disperse their aroma throughout the room.
Don’t be afraid to try each of these techniques to find the perfect way to diffuse essential oils in your spaces.
Whether it’s the ease and versatility of ultrasonic oil diffusers, the elegance of reed diffusers, the creativity of handmade terracotta stones, or another option – you’ll be able to soak up all the cozy essential oil blends.
